   Reflecting back to 1965, James, a young apprentice in New York City, learned the art of restoring artifacts excavated from Egyptian tombs.  He also created and repaired jewelry that was shown and sold at Christie's and Sotherby's auction house and was sold to many celebrities.  James Diamond became a specialist in custom jewelry design, antique restoration, and the diversified fields of the lost arts that newer technicians never learned or mastered. In 1983, James Diamond saw a need in the Poconos for his craftsmanship with sterling silver and his hand made line of jewelry which featured gold and diamonds.   From a young apprentice in New York City to the largest custom order factory and jewelry repair center in the Poconos, James Diamond's National Jewelry Manufacturing Company is one of the best kept secrets in the Poconos!

Some jewelers use a lower Karat solder than the actual piece which enables them to cut costs and also may cause the jewelry to darken & weaken at the point of the repair or sizing. One such price factor is the purity of gold - 24kt being pure gold and 18 - 14 - & 10kt are all real gold but are mixed with other metals.
